RESIDENCE HALL MOVE-IN

Welcome Week gets started for thousands of students with move-in day! Hundreds of student OWLs and Student Life staff volunteers help make the move-in process incredibly smooth.


BUCKEYE KICK-OFF

Block O and the Department of Athletics invite you to put on your scarlet and gray and come to the Stadium to get fired up for the coming year in Buckeye Athletics with TBDBITL, the OSU Cheerleaders, Brutus, Coach Fickell, and other special guests!


CAMPUS LOCATOR SERVICES

Afraid of pulling out that map to find your buildings on the first two days of class? Campus Locators to the rescue! Volunteers will be on hand to help you find your way around and answer questions you might have.


CONVOCATION

The traditional academic ceremony welcoming new students to Ohio State! At Convocation, new freshmen and transfer students will experience their first academic procession, be welcomed by University leaders, take a stroll through the Ohio Stadium with the band, and learn the words to Carmen Ohio.


DRUMS & DOUGH

Take an intercultural journey through music and breads at this all-community event. Enjoy interactive drumming performances from across cultures and sample breads from different parts of the world. Come eat, dance, drum, and make new friends!


MIRACLE MILES 5K

Cap off your Welcome Week by participating in a scenic 5K run/walk through campus. Competitive racers and those just interested in some fun fitness will both enjoy this event, which benefits BuckeyeThon and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.


STUDENT INVOLVEMENT FAIR

Members of more than 500 OSU student organizations and campus departments, businesses, and community agencies will be around the Oval to share with you a little bit about what they do as you consider how you’ll get involved at Ohio State.


BUCK-I-FRENZY

Five hours of free food, live music, and free stuff await you in a high-energy, exciting environment at the RPAC the day before classes begin. Come experience the latest in fashions, food, technology, products, and services from all over Columbus and beyond!


COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

One of the largest single-day volunteer service projects on a college campus in the nation, Community Commitment gives you the opportunity to help out in the Columbus community and meet other students before classes even begin.
