There are more than 100 events during the week for you to pick from, so making some good choices on which ones to do is important. Here are six events and one important resource that we feel like you just should not miss as a first-time Buckeye...

Student Involvement Fair

Sunday, August 19th -- 4:00pm-7:00pm on College Road & the South Oval

Members of more than 700 OSU student organizations and campus departments, businesses, and community agencies will be around the Oval to share with you a little bit about what they do. This is your first and best opportunity to chat with them and start determining what you're going to get involved with outside of your classes.

Monday, August 20th -- 10:30am at the Schottenstein Center

Convocation is a kick-off to your academic career! Students hear from President Drake, faculty, administrators, and special guests, and are introduced to some time-honored university traditions including Carmen Ohio, the OSU alma mater.

Campus Locator Booths

Tuesday, August 21st & Wednesday, August 22nd -- All Day, All Over Campus

It's no secret that OSU's campus is a big one. It's pretty spread out, and there's absolutely no shame in not knowing exactly how to get to your destination right away. On the first two days of classes, you'll be able to take advantage of Campus Locator Services, hundreds of volunteers spread out all over campus with maps and good information on getting you where you need to be.

Buckeye Kick-Off

Thursday, August 23rd -- 6:00pm at the Ohio Stadium

Experience the year's most dynamic OSU spirit event at Buckeye Kick-Off!  Enjoy free food and interactive games at the fan fest and tailgate on the south plaza outside the Ohio Stadium South Stands at 6:00. Gates to the Stadium open at 6:30, and the multimedia program, featuring TBDBITL, OSU celebrities, a Block O card stunt, and more begins at 7:00. Stay until the end to come onto the field and pose for a historic group photo!  Make sure to wear red!
